Around 2 weeks before, I started an email marketing campaign for my company, Union Auto Parts Co. Ltd and targeted Europe, Asia, Mid-East and America region. In my email marketing campaign I tried to keep the content short & simple so that the interest of the readers could be grabbed with simple product pictures.
Unlike many other email marketing content, my content was quite simple yet strong in which I focused on sending a direct message across rather than use different symbols and pictures to drive the readers.
My company is a vehicle piston ring manufacturer so I also tried to keep my target audience as specific as possible so that the irrelevant inquiries like; bearings, gaskets etc could be avoided. I target auto cylinder liner supplier or piston ring suppliers of my targeted regions.
While conducting the campaign, I wasn’t expecting any big responses, my idea was just to get enough responses which may help me in satisfying the need of the company but when I check the status of email marketing I was shocked that my email marketing campaign had the best open rate and response rate of the month.
I believe the key to success of this email marketing campaign was:
1. Simple and direct subject line. E.g.: Best Prices on Piston Rings
2. Simple template with short and direct message.
3. Specific targeted audience.
