ASK VEHICLE PISTON RING MANUFACTURER

Today, I was having some chat with a buyer on LinkedIn and after sometime he asked me a question that how would he come to know that it’s the time to change his cylinder liner? Although, it was a very common thing that when you found cracks on the wall of your cylinder liner. But, I decided to study a little more on the internet so that I can best guide that person.

After little surfing on the internet I met with an auto cylinder liner supplier from china, who shared something very valuable information regarding how one can identify point when he should change his cylinder liner.

He said that a cylinder liner showed a series of indications before and after cracks on the wall and cylinder liner should be replaced as early as you find any one of these indications. Cylinder liners are responsible for ensuring that no heat could transfer so that the components of the engine can be saved.

If you find any of the following indication in your cylinder liner, it means you have a need to change your cylinder liner to prevent yourself from any big incident.

1. Different specifications on cylinder liner & block bore

2. Machine grooves in the liner flange being altered or the flange is cracked, worn not flat

3. Erosion on the outside diameter of the liner

4. Cylinder liner with cracks, scored, eroded

5. Cavities causing erosion on the liner

6. Liner diameter with gradually decreased thickness and out of round exceeded

If you find any one of these indications in your vehicle’s cylinder liner it means if you have a need to contact any vehicle piston ring manufacturer, or supplier.
